  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup full-fat milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2¼ cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Cooking salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing and lining it with baking paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped herbs, crushed garlic, olive oil, and salt until thick.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, milk, eggs, melted butter, and additional garlic until smooth.
  5. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Layer one-third of the batter in the loaf pan, add a dollop of herb mixture followed by cheese slices; repeat the layering twice more.
  7. Bake for about 50 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
