- 1 lb fresh chow mein noodles
- 2 cups thinly sliced cabbage
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 small sliced onion
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp regular soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vegetarian stir fry sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup chicken stock (or cold water)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauces, vegetarian stir fry sauce, sesame oil, chicken stock, minced garlic, and cornstarch to create the sauce.
- Bring water to boil in a large pan. Blanch chow mein noodles for 20-30 seconds until loosened; strain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in the same pan over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the onions, cabbage, and celery for about one minute until softened.
- Push veggies aside; add remaining oil and then the noodles along with the prepared sauce.
- Toss everything together until well coated in sauce. Remove from heat and serve hot.
