  • 4 cups peeled and chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free quick oats
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup dairy-free butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease an 8" x 8" baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine topping ingredients (flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon) and mix until crumbly. Refrigerate.
  3. In another bowl, mix chopped apples with lemon juice, melted butter, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well-coated.
  4. Pour the apple filling into the baking dish and top evenly with the oat mixture.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
