  • 2 cups green beans
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Colby jack cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Dried thyme

Instructions

  1. In a cast-iron skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat (5 minutes). Drain excess grease.
  2. Sauté onions in the same skillet until softened (3 minutes), then add mushrooms and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in green beans, garlic, and broth; cook until vegetables soften (2-3 minutes).
  4. Lower heat and mix in cream cheese and sour cream until well combined.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet with seasonings and stir to combine.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and broil for 2 minutes until melted or cover and cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
