- 14 oz crushed tomatoes
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 14 oz tomato sauce
- 2½ cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- In a large heavy-bottom pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add Italian sausage, ground beef, and diced onion; cook until meat is browned and onions are translucent, about 8 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and fennel seeds to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
