Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ head cabbage (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 8 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar Swerve
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tsp cornstarch
  • ⅓ cup green onions (diced)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop cabbage into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Stir in chopped cabbage and red pepper flakes; cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
  5. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown sugar Swerve.
  6. Create a slurry by mixing cornstarch with beef broth in another bowl; then combine with the sauce mixture.
  7. Pour over beef and cabbage; stir well and cook until thickened (2-3 minutes).
  8. Add diced green onions; serve hot over cauliflower rice or as desired.
