  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the foil)
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil (enough for 4 packets)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Shape into four patties.
  2. Cut four pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil (about 12 inches). Grease the center of each piece with olive oil.
  3. Place each patty on the foil and top with sliced mushrooms and a slice of Swiss cheese.
  4. Fold the sides of the foil over the burger and seal tightly.
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat or oven to 400°F (200°C). Cook packets for 15-20 minutes on the grill or 20-25 minutes in the oven.
  6. Check one packet for doneness; if fully cooked, serve warm.
