Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Italian sausages (uncooked)
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (red & green)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt (or salt + garlic powder)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/23/4 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese (not pre-shredded)

Instructions

  1. Sear the sausages in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  2. Place the browned sausages in the slow cooker, followed by sliced onions and peppers.
  3. Sprinkle garlic salt and Italian seasoning over the veggies.
  4. Pour marinara sauce evenly on top.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-7 hours until everything is tender.
