  • 8 oz rice noodles (or lo mein/udon)
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Toss sliced beef with cornstarch. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear beef until browned; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, stir-fry red bell pepper and broccoli until tender-crisp. Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  4. Whisk together sauce ingredients in a bowl. Return beef to skillet along with cooked noodles and sauce; toss to combine.
  5. Serve garnished with extra green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
