- 8 oz rice noodles (or lo mein/udon)
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Toss sliced beef with cornstarch. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear beef until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, stir-fry red bell pepper and broccoli until tender-crisp. Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook until fragrant.
- Whisk together sauce ingredients in a bowl. Return beef to skillet along with cooked noodles and sauce; toss to combine.
- Serve garnished with extra green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
